Laura, I think I deleted your last post by mistake while I cleaning up Vigrara posts from this thread. 🙁  Sorry about that! But I had just read your post so remember what you had been saying.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother testing positive last week.  I hope he's feeling okay and recovering quickly. It's so nice that his boss still paid him! And, it's really good that your brother is following the doctor's instructions! 🙂

We're following the same guidelines as the CDC - 10 days after and no symptoms, you can return to work, etc.  So, should be okay with that client.  My good friend got Covid last Mach and then had all these side issues; she's recovered from the covid but her lungs are all screwed up now.

We're going to take the shot too when it's available.  We just had our flu shots on the 22nd - hopefully that will help with the winter! Pity you missed out on the trials.

You did delete it, but glad you remembered what I posted in it. I do have to read my past post so I don't keep repeating myself. No not mad. Just would have had to read a repeated storyline. You saved it hehehe.

My brother and his boss went back to work last Friday. His boss has some side effects from Covid but doctor gave him the all clear to go back to work with a MASK. My brother said the bosses side effect is taste and smell. He said his boss didn't feel 100% because he didn't have taste or smell. He said it was a weird feeling when you loose those senses. My brother still has some horseness but the doctor gave him the ok to go back to work. He said he felt better after working. They work at a car wash so lots of outside work. My brother worked at the other end which is the drying end and the boss did the watching the cars mid way through. The ones that normally did those jobs worked on taking money and prewashing the cars. Those are the jobs you get cold at my brother said. They weren't busy all weekend or this week till today. We had snow Monday and Tuesday so they are never busy. Today was sunny and lots warming. My brother and the boss are going to do the inside jobs till Monday. They both go back to the doctor on Friday to get their all clear. Yes I asked what he was talking about. The doctor just wants to make sure they are still improving. If the doctor said they are all clear they are taking back their jobs. Yes the outside jobs are easier. My brother said the boys wants their spots back. My brother found out the boys gets tips at their end too. The boss takes the money and my brother does the prewash. My brother had to stay home for Thanksgiving. He said he had a turkey microwave dinner and a couple of the old favorites. Cranberry sauce, creamed onions, and pumpkin pie. He said the dinner had turkey, stuffing, and veggies. He said it is one of his favorite dinners. He didn't want to leave the house before he was told to. His daughter and grandkids dropped off turkey sandwiches and dressing at the car wash Friday. That made my brother super happy. They left it in his truck. He has a cooler in the truck he keeps his drinks and lunch in it. No he didn't share what my niece brought him. Easter is their big get together since my sister in law passed away a few years ago.  I went to my mom's for Thanksgiving. I am at their house every week and we are allowed to have one other household with a total get together of 6. There was only the 3 of us. We had turkey stuffing, cranberry sauce, veggie and rolls. I was too full for pie. No travelers in our family. I have one brother that says we aren't part of their family so don't know what he and his family did. I have a brother that lives outside of Reno and he was in the hospital. Mom said he injured his foot real bad but he didn't say how he hurt himself. He moved out there to care for a friend he uses to care for here. The guy's family decided it was too much work so they moved my brother out there. Don't know how long he will stay.

Sure hope you all are sitting down and have anything that can hurt you or your computer away from your hands.

Ok here we go. My landlady called me Tuesday to inform me she is going to do her yearly walk through. Well I have lived here for almost 13 years and she has been the landlady for 10 of those years and have NEVER done a yearly walk through. So she comes and before she is to arrive I ask her and the worker to wear a mask in my house. She gets here and tells me she isn't going to wear no mask and neither are her workers. Covid isn't real and they are not telling the truth about how many people have died and are in the hospital. She said it isn't a law so no one can make her wear on. I have seen her at the store and know she wears one there. Our State through the health department has made a mask mandate, I had my mask on till just before she left as I was starting to have an asthma attack. I tried to stay as far from her as I could. The workers are going to be coming in my place to do work without mask. I am so ticked off. She is a real estate agent too so Know she has to wear mask when showing homes. I don't know what to think. My boss said make sure I have a mask on while they are in my house and that I can't fix stupid. I have no ideal who I can contact to ask about the mask in a private home. The landlady thinks the city is going to do city inspections on rental property  next year. I have no problem with that just the no mask in my house I pay rent to live in when I ask. I even said please. Guess I will do what my boss and coworkers said. Let them do the work and get it over with so they will be gone. I don't think the city is going to do inspections till this stuff settles down.

Can I scream I am so tired of this thing. Boy has things changed since I last posted on this feed. I was exposed to the virus by a fellow employee. She went to a funeral out of State. Came back worked with me 1 day and was tested the next day. She got her test results 3 days later and was positive. I work with her on the day she got her results. So a fellow and employee and I that work with her on her first day back after the funeral went to Lansing 35 miles away so could get a test for that day which was a Friday. Then we worked the following Monday and our health department shut us down for a week cause our doctors and over 1/2 the staff worked with her. I was tested the Wednesday too cause they say you should wait 5 days after exposure. Both of my test came back negative. We were able to go back to work last Tuesday. Well if that wasn't bad comes Thursday we have a staff meeting due to the exposure and shut down. Starting Monday tomorrow my whole schedule has to change. It makes my personal life go in a tail spin. My stepdad takes me to the store and laundry mat. So now I am working 3 12 hours days. I can still work 3 10 hours days if I want. So I can get 30, 32, 34, or 36 hours. The manager has left it up to me. So if I work the full hours I have a ride back and forth to work during the Winter, and when it rains too. If not I have have to walk if can't ride the scooter. My mom is ok with it as she understands but my stepdad is making it hard. He keeps telling me I should have picked the other team. I had no choice or I would have. I am going to be working Monday through Wednesday one week and Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday the next week. The earliest I can get out is 5pm. We normally went to the store on Tuesday and laundry on Saturday. I tried to see if I could do laundry every other week but don't have enough uniforms right now. My mom said we will go to the store every other Wednesday{when off} or Thursday and to the laundry mat on Saturday{when off} or Friday or Sunday. She has it all figured out and told me not to worry about it. I would have had to take a whole uniform to work to was with the surgery laundry. That could cause some issues. The manager said if I have to was a pair of pant or top it would be fine. He is the one that assigned the groups. We had no choice. I would have loved all my days be in a row. I worked weekends for 25 years. I got them off just before we were sold to a corp. vet services. He did say after covid we will be able to change teams if there are ones that want to as long as the same amount in each area of the hospital is on the team. I will be able to change since no one else works in my area. I can say this wouldn't have stressed me out so much if the exposure, double testing, and my stepdad wasn't part of the picture. I wish I could have a washer and dryer in my place but can't. No where to put one and is a real old house.

Oh man, I missed the notification for this so I'm only seeing it now.  I'm so sorry you were exposed and am glad your tests came back negative.

Our school had to shut down different classrooms twice in September due to possible exposure so I can really sympathize about how screwy everything can get as a result.  We had to deal with so many schedule changes and upheavals.

It sounds like things are really complicated for you with your reliance on your stepdad to help with the shopping and laundry.  🙁  Is your mom's plan working? I hope so!

Man this new schedule has hit me hard. I have had ankle and sciatica problems since it started. I went week without going to the doctors for the sciatica and paid for it. Last Thursday I couldn't take it as I was in so much pain and had trouble sleeping. I called and couldn't get in till Friday afternoon or go to an emergency walk in clinic. I waited since it has been a week and going to the doctors it wouldn't cost me anything but if I go to the emergency walk in clinic it would cost me $100USD. So I got there and it was my sciatica and muscle strain. The muscle strain was due to the sciatica. I got the shots and my brother gave me a ride home cause he was there picking up his medications. He wouldn't let me walk home. The doctor office is 4 blocks from my house. I had muscle pain for a couple days. The doctor said that I need to take it easy at work or the sciatica can act up again. She said I may always have leg pain due to the leg injuries I have had. My ankle is no help as it adds to the problem. I talked to the manager and he wants me to take it easy and not push myself. It is hard not doing that. I had a lot of problems when I came back to work full time after being off from April to July. The doctor said being off the week for Covid at Christmas could have added to it. I did start having problems by the middle of Tuesday. I am working Monday and Tuesday 12 hours and Wednesday/Saturday 7 hours. So working only 31 hours a week. I think we got the grocery and laundry figured out. I don't have to walk home on my short days. Yep Wednesday after work we are going to store and Saturday after work we are going to the laundry. My mom said so. I hope it keeps going this way as I think this schedule is here to stay till we are able to open up the State and have no restrictions. Yes I am saying till Covid is gone the schedule is here to stay.

Glad you're back with us, Nancy!  Can't believe how cold it is in FL!

Laura, sounds like you've been having a rough time of it.  How are your ankle and sciatica doing now? I have an old shoulder injury and sometimes I move my arm wrong and it flares up so I can imagine how frustrating and difficult it must be for you.

Your 12-hour day must be hard.  Are you managing okay?  Glad you've got the grocery and laundry figured out so you don't have to deal with that.

Covid continues to be a nightmare wherever we look.  It's really, really bad here in the Czech Republic, especially in Prague. Nothing is open except the essentials and schools up to 5th grade (all other school is virtual), we have a curfew, have to wear masks everywhere.  I feel like it's not going to go anywhere for a long time.

Any news on a vaccine for you guys? Will you take it? Rollout is slow here - I'm in the 2nd tier due to being an educator and also because I'm immuno-compromised and I'm hoping I'll get it in May or June.

My sciatic is doing ok since the doctor appointment. I did have some muscle issues cause wasn't drinking enough. It is weird you wear a mask all day you forget to drink. My ankle is not happy at all. The weather is the big problem. I didn't wear the stabilizer for a week and it has caused issues. I have a pair a shoes that I don't wear the stabilizer with them. I wore those shoes. I think with them and the 12 hours wasn't good. Yesterday, Saturday, I wore the stabilizer and all was good. I'm not ready to give up the good shoes to be able to wear them. I wear them to the store and stuff. So back to the old way. The store/laundry is working out really good. He hasn't said anything about it. I think my mom said something to him. Hey guess what? I am on 3 list for the Covid vaccine. Our health department, with work, and at one of our pharmacy. So lets see who calls first. I was already the health department and pharmacy before my manager said he signed us up for the vaccines. Well then a month after we are vaccinated we will be able to change groups if we want. I on the other hand will be doing something different. Yep no more 12 hours or Saturdays. The manager came to me and told me about the plan. He asked if I would be will to change my schedule again. I asked him what he was talking about. He said they would be getting another doctor and so more surgeries. I told him to keep going. He said that he wants me to go back to my old schedule. Work Monday and Friday 7 to 3 and Tuesday and Thursday 7 to 2. He said I can play will the end time if I want as long as I have at least 30 hours. I was so happy. The only thing is he is worried about me getting to and from work. I told him coming I am sure I would have a ride. He said he can have someone take me home since I live 2 blocks from work even if the managers have to take me home. I will be riding the scooter when I can. I am so excited about the plan but I do like working with the group I work with. The other choice I have is he hires another person to work the days I don't work. I told him I want my old schedule since the 12 hours has caused issues with my legs and ankles. He said he is going to still require everyone to wear mask. I am good with that now that I have a few mask that work with me and my breathing. Yes Nancy yours is one of them. With it being so cold out I have to go about an hour without one when I get there. So everyone has to stay out of my area till I have a mask on. The doctor has given me a note that i don't have to wear one but not worth the chances. Our State numbers are down but it is hard to get the shot. Now lets see how the numbers go with the Super Bowl and people not caring goes.

So glad to hear your sciatica is doing okay.  Isn't amazing how much drinking water helps?! I'm usually a great water drinker but with the mask I'm forgetting as well.  I've put some alarms on my phone to help with it.

Sorry about your ankle. 🙁  I think I mentioned I have a bad shoulder?  The cold really doesn't help with it.

That's great that you're on 3 lists for the vaccine! The roll-out is going horribly here.  I'm supposed to be a tier 2 recipient because of my cornea transplant and the fact that I'm an educator.  But they messed up the tier 1 distribution and no one knows what's happening now.  Maybe April or May I'll get it. I hope your vaccine comes MUCH faster!

Yay for the return to your old schedule! That sounds so much better and it's great that you're getting 30 hours! Your manager sounds really nice and caring.

The State changed how they are going to roll out that it is making hard for me to get a vaccine. I was suppose to be eligible at the beginning of this month but now I am going to be able to get one at the beginning of next month if I can find one. These list are useless. I have to fend for myself. Now I have been told I am on the hospital list but with them it won't be till the end of Spring. I am going to keep trying everywhere I can find it. Never know. Then I will have to figure out how to get there. My mom said they will make sure but I don't know. Yep kind of giving up. It has been almost a year fighting this. The same girl that had us shut down with a positive test is off positive again. She tested positive 2 months after the first time. It isn't her fault. Let me explain. Her roommate had positive test where she works. So both ended up with temps on Wednesday night so got a test Thursday. Both were positive. Since the temp happened over 24 hours after we were all together they didn't shut us down. Told us to watch our temps. So far so good. No others sick in our place. We are now thinking that her roommate's work is where they got infected the first time. We are all very careful but we don't think they are. Will let you know when I get the first. The States may have 3 different suppliers after tomorrow. I just don't know about the Johnson and Johnson one. But we will see. The other two are saying don't worry about what supplier it is take it.
