Hey Bits,

Can you ask Mama if she can have a look into this - some forums I've been on show you any direct replies, so if someone clicks reply to your post, it comes up at the top of the forums when you log in. So, for example you'd have the top bar with fourms/members, then underneath it would show you any direct replies to your comments and underneath would be the BSP forum. This would be super cool because then you dont have to check each post to see if you got any replies!

H&T

Yes, I agree that would be helpful.  I'll see if I can figure something out.  I've been using 'recent' which helps but it would be nice to have something a bit more defined.  I've been on one site that just lets you pick 'new posts since your last visit'.  I like that idea too.

Let me poke around on the admin panel and see what I can find out.

So not sure this is quite what we need, but you can subscribe to a thread.  I just did on this one.  Right under the title there is a 'subscribe' option.  But I think it sends a notice to your email, which isn't so good.

Incidentally, trying to figure this piece out has helped me figure out how to move a topic.  HA!

Ok that kind of worked.  Now for this I can go in where it says subscriptions in my account an click on the thread and see it that way.  Maybe I can find another plug-in.

I admit that having played around in that other forum I created, I don't love it.  It's a lot more complicated than this (yes, that is apparently possible).  I'd like embed pictures though rather than people having to click on them.

Yeah it's better - have you tried it?  Can you try now using the attach files button at the left bottom of the posting window?  If you just follow the prompts, it puts the code in your message, which I don't love, but it still works I think.

Hi everyone. I'm happy to be part of this group. I can see I have a lot to learn. I don't know how to imbed my pictures.

Hey Jack, if you 'reply' to this it will open a new comment box and then you just lick the attach file on the bottom of the typing area.  Should work then - give it a try!

Firefox doesn't have an attach file button at the bottom left of this typing box.   So I turned on my old PC and there it was. The next post has a pic of Jack that I just took. On further examination, I tried another browser on the laptop. Jack's picture now shows up in the square in profile. You were correct. It is a Browser thing.

Well that's kind of special.  Huh...  I wonder if it's a browser thing... Hmmm

I can't see that attach file button either, I'm using Chrome. I tried with Microsoft Edge and the button is shown. Anyway, I like Chrome 🙁 Strangely, the button appears when editing a post 😕 So I upload my pics at Imgur and paste it with the "Insert link" option. A bit more demanding but it also works.
