What kind a litter you use?

We now use Extreme classic litter. It´s good litter because:

a) it is 99% dust free

b) smells stay in litterbox

c) 2 big bags last almost 4 month.

Sometimes we buy ökö plus woodpellets. It´s good too.

Andrew.

In Andrew's pans I use Fresh Step Triple Action. I get it in a 42 pound bag. Yes it is scooping litter. I don't have a bag here to give you any info of it. Triple Action that I get isn't Fresh Paws but I think they will make it that way once their packing changes. I do know it is low dust and clumps great. Alex was a big pee peer and it did a great job on his. One big bag last almost as long as yours does but he has 1 pan that is made for a dog. The bag I started at the end of November I just tossed the bag Monday. The babies I use Fresh Step Extreme and have used Fresh Paws Extreme with them too. The Paws is less tracking then Step. That is the only difference. The babies poo really stink. Once they flush the smell goes away. They have 2 normal size litter pans. I get Andrew's from PetSmart and haven't been there till this weekend. I got the babies litter from Walmart. It is in boxes. They are 25 pounds. I got the babies a month ago and I brought 3 boxes of litter. I used 1 box to set the pans up. I have 1 full box and 1 box with 1/3rd left in it. Theirs isn't very dusty and just like Andrew's the smell is nill. I don't smell Andrew's poo when he goes. I will change the babies to the same as Andrew when I run out of theirs. The pans they have had Andrew's litter in it as Alex and him used them when Alex was here. If I remember right 1 bag would last almost 1 1/2 to 2 months in 2 extra large litter pans and 3 regular litter pans. The only reason I didn't put them on Andrew's is Walmart doesn't have his kind. I have used theirs on Andrew and Alex before but PetSmart didn't have it in the bags I used. I have never tried anything but the scooping litter. I uses to use Tidycats but it was very bad at clumping. The vet I got Alex from is the one that told me to switch to Fresh Step/Paws. I was texting her while I was writing this. She uses the Paws kind and likes it better then the Step. She uses Multi-cat and does really good with the smell. She has 3 cats and said she buys the 42 pound bags and 2 bags last her 4 to 5 months. Her heaviest cat is 15 pounds and has had urine problems. She said when she had her diabetic cat which made 4 cats 2 bags lasted her 3 to 4 months. Hope this helped.

Extreme make good clumps and it is scooping litter. Don´t brake a part like other litters.

We have 2 big litterbox and 1 little smaller box. We buy 2 or 3 big bags (14kg/30,8lb) at same time and put them in to big plastic container. It is so easy add more litter in to box. 2 of boxes are in bathroom and container too.

We try earlier scooping litter and no scooping litter and no scooping litter just don´t be good and don´t last so long. So we use only scooping litter.

One litter what we have earlier make white paw parts pink and dust a lot, it was market brand. And 2nd market brand dust so much that hole house was covered in white dust and let pee smell out of box.

Tidycats uses to have a really good litter but they stopped making it. Here in the States we say if it is really good why make it. Then we changed to one of their other ones and it didn't work at all for good clumps. Fresh Step/Paws does a great job clumping. It worked really good for Alex since he peed so much. The clumps were nice and tight and no urine odor. I was so glad my vet friend told me about it. She has used it for many years. I have used other big name litter over the years. I had one cat if I changed the brand of litter she wouldn't use the pan at all. Did a ton of test on her cause of her peeing out of the box. All the test came back normal. So I was asked if I changed the litter or pan. Once I went back to the litter she was uses to no more problems till I tried a different formula of the same litter. Yes she peed out of the box again. We called her fussy butt Misty I had her for 19 years. I brought her home from work when she was 6 months old. Alex was a little fussy about the litter too, but as long as it was Tidycats he was ok with it. I had to switch to Fresh Step the same as you have to change cat foods from old to new. Andrew doesn't care as long as it is deep enough to dig in. His can food is the only problem with him. His can food has to be Friskies or Fancy Feast and have liquid in it. But litter he is happy with what I pick.
