without going into too much detail, I have a friend who is going through a trauma, and I am fearful for her right now. She is at a very low point. I am working with other friends to get her the help she needs and we are hopeful.
In the meantime, she is afraid for her cats, that they will be taken by animal control and euthanized if she loses her house. Or she goes “away.”
because I am in Florida, we are in kitten season all year long. All the shelters are full. I am at wits end, trying to keep her positive and to find the cats homes.
There are five grown cats, that I refer to as semi-feral. One is four, two are three and two are two. So, young cats.
They are afraid of people, but I think they could be socialized. They love my friend. So much so, they brought her a dead mole this morning. So I think there is hope for them. They associate me with the vet, but when I watch them when she’s on vacation, they will eventually play with me. That’s why I think they could be socialized.
They are both indoor/outdoor cats. Two may be fostered by one friend. I can’t foster the other three, because my Sasha is too old and is having health issues. I can’t risk her with cats that have not had shots.
they are all speutered however. Not before there were kittens, so the three I need rehomed are two sisters and their uncle. at one point, there were 16 cats. I’ve managed to help her get most adopted and the rest speutered. I just don’t have anyone willing to take anymore cats.
help. I need ideas and help.

It sounds like you've done so much already to help your friend, over a long period of time. I'm sorry I don't know anyone in Florida who could help you. I hope someone can think of creative ideas for you.
Hey Cole and Marmalade are back in Florida. That is were they are from. Maybe message them or Chris the cat man, their dad, and see if they have any suggestions. I don't know were they are located at but it is worth a try. Chris has done rescue of feral colonies. Like I said it is worth a try. I am in Michigan and only one friend in Florida but haven't talked to her in along time. But like Jenny's mommy said you have been a great friend. If I can think of other ideals I'll touch back at you here

Hey, any update on this situation? I don't really have any good ideas for helping, especially as I'm half-way around the world, but I'm sending lots of good thoughts both for your friend and the cats.
No. My mom has been sick and my friend is vacillating between finding homes and keeping them. I’m just trying to be supportive. I will give updates, once I get firm information.
