You understand as much as I do with American football. Golf is more then boring but there isn't a word for it. Hockey and horse racing both Standardbred and Thoroughbreds are the ones I understand. I uses to work with Standardbreds. I am starting to understand Quarter Horse racing. I also like dog shows. Cat shows are boring to me.
Mom
Here is also horse racing sport and many bet on who will win but I don´t understand the betting system. Dog shows I understand but not cat shows. One thing I know about cat shows is that they take long time.
Golf is so boring to watch. They hit little ball with many different sticks, walk much and hit ball again and try get it in little hole in the ground. And they do it hours. Not my game to watch.

You have the same feeling about golf as I do. Horse racing I am not a better. I like watching. I have bet only $2USD on a big race/horse but never cash it in if it wins. I like to save the ticket/voucher. I never betted the horses when I worked with them. I have only been to a couple of cat shows and never stayed long. Went with a friend that didn't want to go alone. We have a dog show about 2 blocks from me once a year. I go to that one and watch the Westminster one on tv. Kory the Space Slave dog was a replacement puppy for my show dog Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. His name was Randy. His knees would pop in and out of joint which is a disqualification for the breed. Kory has a major parrot mouth but I knew that when I got him. It is easy to feed him. Just have to have his bowls hanging on his crate walls since he puts his head to the other side to eat and drink. If they are on the floor he has trouble. So hanging them for 9 1/2 years. Plus now they say it is good for his heart issues.
Mom
I like watch horse racing from tv, never been out front.
Some dog and cat breeds have been too advanced so some dog breeds have become too short a muzzle, allergy sufferers, eye disease, hip-swelling, short-lived and dental-like and so on. I once dreamed of a pug but I can't take it because I don't want the dog to suffer from breathing all his life. I take a pug when it have bigger muzzle to breath and better legs.
Viivi is mixed German Shepherd Dog, Bern Shepherd Dog and perhaps Irish Wolfhound / Scottish Deer Dog. The father was a Bernese Mountain Dog but the mother was not a pure German shepherd but a mixture of two breeds. Viivi is already 7 but how many years still remain because the Bernese Mountains have a high risk of getting cancer, for example.

Heart issues is the biggest and worst thing in the Cavalier. Kory's heart is not the disease that the Cavaliers get. The Cavalier heart disease can be scanned and seen early. They normally don't live long after the onset of it. Both of his parents have been checked for it and are negative of it. The breeder paid to see if Kory had it and it was negative. Any dog or cat can get the heart condition Kory has. They put Kory on the medications the specialist told them too put him on. He has to have major check ups every 6 months and spot checks monthly. The vets are saying he is doing good. They haven't changed his medications in the last 5 months. The specialist said he will stay on the same drugs but the amount can change through the rest of his life.
Mom
It´s good that Kory have meds and check ups. Spaniels are a long-lived breed. Kory live good life with you and Andrew and little boys. You are good mom to them.
Roosa have a small murmur that has come from mild overweight and old age. Otherwise, the old lady will be happy to know her own worth and give her comments to us everyday. There is no dementia yet. Slimming is on because overweight is not good for old joints with small osteoarthritis. Her sister has more and more dementia. The doctor said that the elderly still live for 5 or 6 years with us if there is no illness worse than osteoarthritis.

Kory got sore last night running after Andrew. So I had to get him some of his pain meds today. He got one this morning and I will give him 1 tonight. I will see how he is in the morning and decide if he needs it again. Him and Andrew were crazy boys yesterday. Andrew goes from birdie tv to his condo to Kory's crate to Andrew's big box and back again. It is fun watching them but I also know Kory is always sore after it
Mom
Poor Kory. I hope he is better soon. Andrew want have fun.
Sometimes in the middle of the night we hear a sound from the living room like a dog's rumbling and hard pace running along the couch, jumping on the floor and again on the couch and other strange noises. It's an old girl Roosa who has fun in the middle of the night. Wouldn't believe there is a little osteoarthritis in the paw when the pace is wild and noisy. The next day, she sleeps a lot and moves a little slower.
