Mine have never chewed wires.  It’s one of the few times I yell at them, so they learned not to do it.  They dont play with them or anything.   Same thing with the tree. 

Now my friend’s cats - I’ve lost two phone cords from her house!

Luckily mine have never chewed wires. They've batted at them sometimes but typically have left them alone. I feel extremely lucky right now! 

Matthew and Nate have left wires alone so far. Andrew's favorite is the headphones I uses with the computer. Alex and his littermate Hugo were the ones that killed the computer. I have say I was totally surprised that Andrew left the Christmas lights alone. I was worried about them. Still hides the computer wires. Maybe a good ideal till I figure these kittens out. They had lots of chances to electrocute themselves from where I got them from. The girl did say they didn't chew any wires when I asked her. She said they even left the Christmas tree alone. I know the tree hit the ground a couple times when the landlady sent me in there with the service guys when our heat was out. There were wires all over and the service guy said he was surprised that they weren't chewed.

Roosa or Nöpö chewed 1 wire when they where teenagers.

Pinja or Vili chewed 2 phone charger cords.

Viivi dog chewed 4 Computer cords at the same time when was a baby. She was very lucky because Computer was attached to socket but not on.

Me doggie Kory chew fan dat was on. Meowmy say da oder doggie Randy did fan no on. Meowmy say fan cord chewing mus be Cavalier ding. Me no beleb Kory chew cord of on fan. Him very mart for being dog. Me gunna make meowmy to review her brain.

Dat is why me call me doggie Kory Space Slave dog. Him wants be in program but Timmy no do doggies so me make Kory do me dirty work. Him dinks doggies has to do what kitties say. Me daught call him Kory Space Butler dog but no sound good so me did Slave dog. Me meowmy say her our slave and me agree.

Of course kittens rule and dogs do what kittens want 😎  😆. Dogs don´t be smart like kittens are.

That movie where was that evil siamese cat who want conquer the earth and (as if) smart dogs try to prevent that to happening. That movie must be directed or writed by human who like dogs. Meowmy see it movie and tell to me about it.
