I filter the top 3000 cryptocurrencies by market cap according to several criteria, such as trading volume, developer activity, community presence, and technical updates. Looking at price history and news about partnerships on iTrusty also helps. I think it is better to view the top 3,000 as an experimental field, but don't put your main deposit there.
