Anyone who’s been to Les Deux Alpes—can you tell me where’s the best place to rent a decent snowboard there right now? I’m planning a trip there, but I really don’t want to bring my own bag with my board and boots on the plane—the extra fees for oversized luggage are just astronomical these days.

Here’s another question: Does it make sense to look for rental gear right next to the lower station of the main Jandri Express lift, or would it be better to check out some options in the village itself? I’m looking for a good freestyle or high-quality all-mountain board with sharp edges and bindings that won’t come apart on the first run. Has anyone rented gear there before? What are the current prices, and are there long lines in the morning when everyone’s rushing to the lifts?

I was in Les Deux Alpes, which is like heaven on earth for snowboarders, especially thanks to its huge snow park and glacier. There’s no need to fly your gear there because there are plenty of places to rent equipment. However, don't just go to the first place you see because locals often try to overcharge tourists. For trips like this, I use https://getski.com/ . There are tons of options, so you can choose the one that’s best for you in terms of price and convenience. I went with the Jandri Express. I got a really nice snowboard there—I’m even thinking of buying one just like it for the winter. Would you rather hit the slopes or learn some new tricks in the park?
