Mama went to work and left me alone with Sasha Cat yesterday. Sasha Cat not feel well. I try to take care of her. When mama come home, Sasha Cat try to pee, but nothing come out. She go everywhere, not even in the box! Me and mama scared. Mama took Sasha Cat to the emergency vet. They took pictures of her insides and drew blood. The E-Vet told mama that Sasha Cat had a lump in her tummy. And Sasha Cat has a U T I. She has medicine she has to take. Mama brung her home and cried a lot.
But this morning she call Dr. S, who sent the pictures to another vet and they think this lump was just her spleen, because Dr. S says Sasha Cat hates the vet and she was sedated to take the pictures, it made her spleen big.
so mama has to watch Sasha Cat and keep giving her meds. She pooped in the living room and mama didn’t get mad! She say Sasha Cat is sick and she not going to yell at her.
Sasha Cat ate lunch and drank water and peed in the box. So mama is happy. She having a hard time leaving Sasha Cat alone, but Grandpa say that will freak Sasha Cat more, so one of mama’s friends is taking her to dinner.
mama is going over to Grandpa’s house tmw, cuz it is Grandma’s birthday, and mama doesn’t want him to be alone. But she come back before nighttime. Sasha Cat will like that. Mama leave her alone.

Yes, it is always frightening when and if the doctor says that there is "extra" in the organ or elsewhere. Good thing Sasha eats, drinks and goes to the box.
When Vili was in pee trouble then the doctor said we come to the doctor just in time and not wait a few days because it would have been too late, it scared us. Vili visited v e t on Thursday and again on Friday, the doctor did not let Vili wait over the weekend, she kept Vili at the doctor all Friday and took care of the worst. Mama took him v e t in the morning and got him home in the afternoon.

Sasha Cat seems like is feeling better. Mama gave us treats and Sasha Cat ate all hers, and then came over to me and ate mine. But I let her, cuz she not feeling well. Then she bopped me on my head and hissed at me. Mama says it showing that she feel better. I was being nice though, I shouldn’t be bopped!
mama says Sasha Cat has to go see Dr. S next week, so they can help her kidneys. Mama been sad cuz it grandma birthday and she afraid Sasha Cat will go stay with grandma. So I lay on her and purr to make her feel better.

I hope Sasha Cat is doing lots better soon. Don't let Andrew fool you. They don't like to see him come in the door. He is a very mean boy there. When we did xrays on Alex they thought he had a spleen mass too. When they sent it off they found out he has a pancreatic mass which was not removeable. A spleen mass is removeable. That is why we had to let Alex good. But meowmy don't worry about it as Sasha Cat can tell you are upset. Hope grandpa had a very good birthday and you had a good dinner. Maybe the UTI, vomiting and going to the vet is a good reason for the enlarged spleen. STAY POSITIVE Meowmy, Ella and Sasha

I bopped Sasha Cat on accident. I chasing a lizard and she got in the way. I didn’t mean it. Then she hissed and bopped me even tho I say sorry. I trying to be good cuz she still not feeling ok. She feeling a little better. She lay outside in sun today. Mama happy cuz it’s first time in over a week she left mama’s bedroom.
Mama worried she not eating enough, so mama tempting her with something called Gerber Baby food. Beef. It’s human baby food. Sasha Cat like. I do not. It stinky and taste gross. I feel bad for human babies. No wonder they cry all the time. Someone need to get them a lizard or a mouse or something better to eat.

I am Sasha Cat and I am here to say that I am very well! I had to go see Dr. S yesterday to get a follow up. Mama gave me a “happy pill.” It makes me very wobbly and I cannot fight the human monsters at the VET very well.
They took my temperature, which is revolting sticking anything in my private area, and looked in my mouth and ears. And Dr. S listened to my heart. She says I have the heart of a much younger than 15 years of age, which is going to be my age on Halloween. They also took another x ray of my belly, to compare to last week’s.
I did not feel well at all last week. Everything hurt, nothing tasted good and I couldn’t go to the bathroom. I hid in the closet so no predator could hurt me. I scared mama. I didn’t like the place mama took me to. And I did not like mama giving me medicine. But she gave me lots of temptations and I liked that. Except she won’t give me as many any more.
vili- the baby food tasted yummy. But I dont want mama to think that I like it forever, so I only eat about an ¼ of the jar. It’s a tiny jar. I am doing the same thing with the wet food. That is what she gets for taking me to the vet!
alex - I have to bop Ella Bella ALL THE TIME! She is a very rude cat. She does not listen to her elders and she gets right up in my face, acting like she is going to be nice BUT I KNOW IT IS JUST AN ACT AND SHE WILL TRY TO GET ME. So I get her fir...........

Sasha you are beautiful! 1 year older than my old lady Rose. But age is just numbers.
Me too have begun to think that v e t is a terrific place to visit. Last time me went me gave many nasty eyes but v e t only laughed at me. I'll never forgive her and me use my sharp claws next time!
Maybe me could taste human baby food. Me don't like what people say ice cream but milk is good. When me drink from human's milk glasses, me get everything for meself because they don't drink it after me.
Old ladies say same about me and sister just like Sasha about you Ella bella. We are supposedly arrogant, stupid brats, kids who do not have nice manners etc. But I'm a gentleman to old lady´s and do anything they ask, but me do not get any reward for that only bop to head and cold glances. But me keep trying and be good boy and gentleman.

Sasha Cat isn’t feeling so good tonight. She keep trying to poop, mama says. And nothing coming out except little hard balls. Mama says she thinks Sasha cat constantpated. She give Sasha Cat wet food mixed with pumpkin. I smelled it...it smelled like wet food. I don't know what pumpkin tastes like...But I didn’t try it - it Sasha cat’s.
All I know is all the trying to poop makes Sasha Cat pee little spots everywhere. She even peed on my favorite cat toy! Mama and me not mad at Sasha Cat. She don’t feel well. Mama said she going to wash all the toys Sasha Cat peed on. I hope Sasha Cat feel better soon. It’s so tiring to be nice all the time. Me go to sleep now.

Yes - Sasha is doing the same thing she did when I rushed her to the emergency vet. She seems like she’s straining to poop. She did the same exact thing last week. But I’m calmer this time tho. The emergency vet said she was full of poop. But they also said she had an abdominal mass and a UTI. Gave me clavamox (which turns out I am allergic too. Smh) when I talked to our vet, the fabulous Dr. Salpeter, she had the University vets look at it, and they all said that due to her fear and the sedation, it was just her spleen enlarged.
i took her to Dr. S this past Wednesday, a week after the e-vet, and she took another X-ray. Spleen normal size, nothing in abdomen or lungs. But she was full of poop. So, I mixed some pumpkin into her wet food and poured fortiflora on it. She ate about half of it. So, here’s hoping that does the trick. Dr. S has office hours tomorrow, so I will call. Sasha is eating and drinking normally, and is sleeping next to me right now.
I am feeling pretty guilty tho - for a couple of reasons. I switched their litter. I was trying non-medicated chicken crumbles, which is very much like world’s best, except cheaper. Sasha had used that for years. I can get a 55 pound bag of the crumble for $12, and it lasts about 3 weeks. This is my 3rd bag. I don’t think Sasha likes it. So I just ordered the old litter - blue natural (walnut.) which I switched to because it blended in with the carpet. And I didn’t get flies.
Second reason is that it’s the end of the summer, and as a teacher, I don’t get paid until the end of August. I’m hoping that she doesn’t need another vet visit. The emergency visit was $722 and Dr. S. was another $150.
The third reason is that I have a funeral for an aunt on Monday. I’m heading over to my dad’s on Sunday for it, and I’m not supposed to come back till Tuesday. I’m hoping I don’t have to bring her with me, because she is so afraid of the car. But I can’t leave her alone, either.
