I. Saw. A. Fox. It was red and it hissed at me. I puffed up and growled and howled. My job to protect the house. Mama come running cuz she thought maybe I was going to fight. The fox saw mama and froze, and then skunk away. Mama cooed at it and called it pretty. No. It can’t have my mama.
(yup. Apparently we have foxes in my neighborhood now. Foxes I can deal with. The only way the cats can see other animals, is through the screen door on the lanai. The rest is brick, so unless the fox or raccoons get on the roof, there’s minimal contact. I’m always afraid of hissing and spitting and that getting into eyes or mouth. We have an outbreak of rabies. The vet says that chance is minimal, but my girls are up to date on shots.

I'm surprised we haven't seen and coons or possums yet this year. I have seen them around but none in the yard. This is our first ground hog. We have an adult care home next door when the ground hog is living under the shed. They put veggies out at the shed but he has to come out to get it. They think he is cute. We are having rabies issues with bats here in Michigan. Come to think about them I haven't seen them since this pass weekend. Must be too hot for them. It was 97F with a heat index of 105F and we are in this till tomorrow night{Saturday}. Starting Monday we can have windows open and I think the fighting will die down again. All next week is suppose to be really nice open window birdie tv weather. I'm not tell Andrew about the windows just in case it doesn't happen. We are suppose to have boom boom storms on Sunday. If it ends this bring them on.

No birds on bird TV for the next couple of weeks says meowmy because it will be too hot for all animals and humans. The weather forecast says 30c - 35c (86f - 95f) and no rain so no nice weather.
Alligators sound terrible! Meowmy showed me the picture and me don't want them here. Meowmy said it's too cold for them here. What a luck me say, me don't want to come across one while me in the box on way to the v e t.

Yes it was so nice to open the windows last night. It poured here on and off during the day so had to wait for that the stop. When it did I checked and it was in the 60sF so opened the birdie tvs that don't have the air conditioners in. I wish my back could handle picking these things up cause I have to leave it in my bedroom window and leave it on. The other one does the rest of the house so it is heavier then this one. We have more hot days coming so not going to attempt it. They have 4 birdie tvs to choice from. When I came home from work the workers were putting new eaves on our house. I asked if they saw the ground hog yet. They said they had and he was cute. I looked over where his hole is and asked if they saw him today. They said he came out and took some of the carrots they put there in his hole. There was still a couple there. I think it is funny I can't feed strays or birds but they are feeding ground hogs. Oh well others are feeding everything else so guess someone has to feed the ground hog.

Mama puts out a water bowl for the foxes and cats in our neighborhood. Mama say that the foxes and cats fight for the same food, so they not friends.
Vili - alligators are scary cuz they have big teeth. But there are cats that are brave and chase them off! Have your mama look at this video

Good thing no creatures like that live here. Meowmy says that our snakes are quite small and harmless when compared to alligators, cobras, boa snakes or rattlesnakes.

Cats and Viivi look for shade under the couches and wherever they find a cool place. Luckily everyone drinks a lot and we provide meat tasting broth to cats (we want make sure they really drink every day) and water is available from two big dog water bowls and the cats have their own big water bowl in the kitchen. Pinja tell us if Viivi is drink all water from dog water bowl, she sits next to bowl and commands us to fill it right away.

Mom telled me dey givied da house baff and dey maded sky raisins comed in me house. Matfew gotted him a nack but me and Natfin just watched him. Mom chased Matfew way and her gotted dis ding dat went bang bang bang woosh woosh woosh. Me kepted melling someding good so me leaved cause mom lossed her mind. Me comed back and mom hadded a pile of ski raisins. Her no shared wif us. No fair. Me mom telled me der were 2 dat won't yet her getted dem so me big window gotted stay close. I heard Matthew making all kinds of noises. I went out to where birdie tv is and counded 15 to 20 sky raisins. Not sure how many there was since Matthew was working on getting them. I got the raisin swatter out and started swinging. I got all but 2. They stayed between the windows where you can't get them. So I closed the inner window, which Andrew didn't like. When I got back to it yesterday the 2 were dead inside the window on the window sill. It is too hot today so leaving it dead. I had a pile of them sky raisins. I had to fight Matthew for them cause everytime I killed one he was there to get it. They powered washed the house so I think they got them going and they found a way into the house. The door at the bottom of the stairs doesn't close tight and I think they came in that was. I picked up a fly strip yesterday and don't have any on it so I think they are gone.

One year our kitchen window had at least 100 flies or at least seemed to be because those flies were full of the window. When Vili & Pinja came to us, the flies have not survived indoors for a long time. Both even chase banana flies and would try to catch even wasps if they came in. We say it is Biological Pest Control.

Hey mom turned sound on me birdie tv. When her gotted home today she tooked does air blowers outted of dem birdie tvs. Me now has 5 birdie tvs. Me only has 5 birdie tvs so all open and has sound. Me no see me brown friend. Mom musted told him me no home. Me see birdies in me back birdie tv. Mom telled me dat me might have 5 birdie tv for yong time. Mom telled me dat des people gotted come in and worked on 2 of me birdie tvs. Her say dat will fixed me main birdie tv. Me see no reason dey gotted do anyding to me birdie tvs. Mom say me getted all of dem now for 5 or 6 days. Dat maked me happy boy. Mom telled me she will have wait to see if getted too hot and needed dem air blowers. Me hoped not. Oh you know what Matfew getted in truble while mom worked on dem air blowers. He g0ing to be pushed out tv if him getted in way gain. Me dink him no brain. Him climbed gate to get in way. Him runned and mom caughted him before him boom boomed. The weather is going to be cooler for 5 to 6 days and the landlady wants them to fix the window stash so have to take the air conditioners out. I don't trust them to do it. I like the birdie tvs open. The air has been in since before the end of May. Andrew has been to all the birdie tvs to see what he cane see. Matthew came running right after I got the air out and on the floor and he was on his way out the birdie tv. I caught him. Then he was dumb enough to try it again. I yelled at him that I was going to push him out if he does it again.

Mama has been to “work” this week, and then she go to grandpa’s for Aunt Joyce’s funeral. So we have been stuck in the house and can’t go out. No lanai and no sun for us. Sasha Cat is still getting better, so she sleeping a lot. she did go outside and sleep in the sun, on Monday and we had some birds in the lanai roof. It see through, we can’t get to birds but can see them, they can’t get to us either. I don’t know if they see us, birds are kinda dumb, eating worms and bugs, yuck. But I haven’t seen Red the Fox out my tv window. And the raccoons usually come out at night, so we don’t see them. We sleeping then. We heard an owl last night, though, it sounded like this.... whooooooo whoooooooo whoooooooooo. Sasha Cat said we should be glad to be indoor kitties cuz she heard that sometimes owls can pick us up and fly far away with us! I think she trying to give me nightmares, I should go bop her.

Me is heard the birds, but me did not see them even the air is cooler. The birds have gone missing for some reason. Meowmy said that the birds are not yet on their way to the south for warmer temperatures. Hope they come before leave so me can see them on the bird TV. Meowmy says that since Sasha is older and more experienced, Sasha is quite right. There are creatures out there that can eat cats. Owls, hawks and foxes, so don't go out Ella. No need to bop her.
Me get nightmares when me think if me went out and some terrible thing would take me, how old lady Roosa would do without me. Better to go to safety under the bed where owls can't find me.

Yes there was a house fire down the street. Nate was in one of the windows and started having a cough. I came into the room he was in and I could smell fire. I asked the girl downstairs if she smelled it and she said no. She has her air conditioners in her window. She said she did smell it outside. I found out the fire was down the street. We had to leave the windows shut and all the fans on to keep it cool in here. I have asthma so ended up having doing a breathing treatment. It scared the boys when I turned the machine on. It was funny watching Andrew when he got brave to come see what I was doing. He was so low to the ground. They did run down to the door when I yelled move there is a fire. I found them there when I closed Andrew's favorite birdie tv. I had to get up and went to the door to check the air outside. It was clear so opened the birdie tvs then back to bed. No people or animals were killed. It is rental property and a no pet one so I hope the report was true.

Yesterday I saw so many small birds and a couple of big birds on bird TV. There was cool air so the birds came. This week is a bit cooler meowmy said so there may be more birds to see, I hope.

Fire is a nasty case for both humans and animals. Especially cats get caught in the flames because they hide. I always feel sad when I read about a fire that has trapped animals.
